Laser pointers or lights, these tend to be shaky like they would be with someone trying to aim a dot at a camera. The spider thread may be thin and not picked up but the nodules reflect light and appear as 'orbs'. One common sight is multiple orbs in a line moving around, unless they change position then it's going to be nodules on a spider thread. Spider threads, spiders love infrared light and can spin a web nearby, there are many pages on security cameras and spiders. If you mirror the axes both vertically and horizontally the 'orb' will be where the light is on the normal picture (maybe close if the picture has been cropped slightly). The 'orb' may have a pattern as the reflection is a lower luminance so may show for example the shape of a bulb or flame. Generally, these tend to be bluish-green but can appear blue or green, rarely they can be red or if the light source is infrared it may appear purple. Lens flare, if there is a strong light in the picture then this might get reflected by the camera lenses. They may appear and disappear but this is due to them generally no longer reflecting light, they may not be in the light path or they are too far away or too close. Water can cause light to refract which means you might get colourful 'orbs', particles may be oddly shaped or could only have one reflective side which is why you might see a flickering effect as the orb travels. Particles (this includes but is not limited to dust, pollen, insects, natural and manmade fibres, hair, fluff, seeds, insect droppings, water vapour, rain and snow) reflecting strong light or infrared which is generally close to the camera lens, but other strong lights can also show up particles. Look up the circle of confusion, it's a photography term and this might explain why close objects are both out of focus and translucent and the background is still visible. This is what cameras are picking up, being close to the lens they are generally out of focus and translucent. You may also see the particles in just the light beam.
